About the Event

There's no better way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day than with the Dueling Fiddles! Join us on the Saturday before St. Pat's (March 12th) from 7:30-10pm for a special Irish Fiddle Concert at Noir Ames!

Compromised of violinists Hanna Wolle and Geneviève Salamone, the Dueling Fiddles are a sought-after entertainment duo based in Des Moines, IA. This energetic and entertaining duo mix the rich sounds of the violin with self-produced accompaniment for unforgettable performances. Hanna and Geneviève first met as stand partners in the Des Moines Symphony. Their love of music, performing, and exploring the boundaries of classical music led them to form their duo. As both classically trained musicians, they are able to span a wide variety of genres with a high level of technical expertise. Geneviève Umęndaterih Salamone is a professional violinist, producer and composer from the Huron-Wendat Nation. After overcoming 15 years of childhood sexual abuse, she uses her platform to raise awareness on issues surrounding mental health, sexual violence and Indigenous issues such as the Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women and the Indian Residential Schools. Hanna Wolle is a professional violinist and chamber musician. She started playing violin at the age of four and had plans her entire life to become a symphonic musician. After graduating from high school, she unexpectedly quit the violin and pursued her academic interests instead. She picked up the violin almost 10 years later and now has no greater joy than sharing and creating music. https://linktr.ee/duelingfiddles
