Compromised of violinists Hanna Wolle and Geneviève Salamone, the Dueling Fiddles are a sought-after entertainment duo based in Des Moines, IA. This energetic and entertaining duo mix the rich sounds of the violin with self-produced accompaniment for unforgettable performances. Hanna and Geneviève first met as stand partners in the Des Moines Symphony. Their love of music, performing, and exploring the boundaries of classical music led them to form their duo. As both classically trained musicians, they are able to span a wide variety of genres with a high level of technical expertise. 

 

Geneviève and Hanna started their duo in 2012, after connecting as stand partners in the Des Moines Symphony. Their love of music, performing, and exploring the boundaries of music led them to start the Dueling Fiddles. What started as a fun project quickly evolved into a main stage performance act, and they enjoy performing and connecting with fans in Des Moines and across the Midwest. Their love of sharing their music with others fuels their energy on stage, and they guarantee a show where fans will walk away having enjoyed the music, energy, and virtuosic talent of the Dueling Fiddles.

Geneviève Gros-Louis Salamone

 

Geneviève Gros-Louis Salamone is an Internationally recognized violinist, producer, film composer and beadworker from the Huron-Wendat Nation. After confronting PTSD from childhood sexual abuse, she uses her platform and artwork to raise awareness on issues surrounding mental health, sexual violence against women and critical Indigenous issues such as the Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women and the Indian Residential Schools. She holds a degree in Violin Performance and Indigenous Studies from McGill University and may currently be found composing Hollywood film, television and video game music as a composer/producer at Hinge Music Publishing, performing with her violin duo, the Dueling Fiddles and producing award-winning music in her recording studio, Wendat Records.

Hanna Wolle

A native of Des Moines, Iowa, violinist Hanna Wolle has quickly established herself as a dynamic performer, chamber musician, and orchestral player in the Des Moines area. Hanna began playing the violin at the age of four with her father, a classically-trained violist. She quickly emerged as a talented violinist, winning competitions across the Midwest. Hanna won a seat in the first violin section of the Des Moines Symphony at age fifteen, becoming one of the youngest violinist in the orchestra's history. She currently maintains her seat as a first violinist with the Des Moines Symphony, and also performs with her quartet, Quartet 515. Hanna enjoys spending time with her partner, Matt, and her kitty Margo.
